Jumping spiders are the cutest. It’s finally warm enough that I finally saw one outside on my garage door. I haven’t yet worked up the courage to hold one, but I’ll get there. Expect to see spider pictures, coming soon!

I’ve been thinking about writing a modern fantasy series that captures my experiences as a career babysitter. Because kids are frustrating, adorable, and hilarious. Watching my cousin’s kids on Thursday, her oldest son had so much enthusiasm for showing me a movie that he liked, and her daughter brushed my hair to make it pretty. She also told me that she loved it when I was at their house while she was stark naked and sitting on the toilet!

I’ve had other, more spirited kids, attempt to fire me from being the babysitter, and then five minutes later, they’re running back to me asking for a snack. I don’t have any kids of my own, but babysitting is kind of like having temporary kids that I get to love on and then give back to their parents a few hours later.

And I actually got around to tackling my taxes this week! Yay! The only way I could convince myself to do it, though, was to fill out one form per day. I don’t know why, but whatever gets it done.

Sorry that this post was so scattered and really not that informative. But sometimes, weeks are quiet and kind of boring. Until next week, everyone.
